Fraser Fir trees growing on a misty mountainside at Peach Bottom Christmas Tree Farm

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ordering, shipping, and tree care.

How fresh is my tree when it arrives?+

Your tree is cut the same day it ships. Never pre-cut, never stored. We twine bail it for branch protection, hand inspect every tree for fullness and shape, and hand box it with care for transit. It ships via FedEx Ground and arrives within 3–8 days of shipping.

What's the difference between Fraser Fir and White Pine?+

Fraser Fir is our signature tree with sturdy branches that hold heavy ornaments, soft needles with excellent retention, and that strong classic Christmas scent. White Pine is the farmhouse choice with very soft needles, a full and bushy shape, and a mild scent that's allergy-friendly. Both are grown right here on our farm in the Peach Bottom Mountains where Fraser Fir naturally thrives.

Are White Pine trees okay for pets and allergies?+

White Pine is a great choice for families with small children, pets, or allergy sensitivities. The needles are very soft, and the scent is mild compared to Fraser Fir. They also look beautiful dressed in lights with lightweight decorations.

How do I care for my tree when it arrives?+

Unbox your tree immediately when it arrives. If you can, make a fresh cut removing 1/2 to 1 inch from the bottom of the trunk. Place it in a stand with water filled 3–5 inches above the base of the trunk. Check water daily the first week, then every other day after that. Keep it away from heat sources like fireplaces and heating vents.

How do I care for wreaths, swags, and garland?+

Unbox immediately and gently reshape the greenery. Some compression during shipping is normal. Mist with water every few days to maintain freshness. Display away from direct sunlight, heat vents, and fireplaces. Works beautifully both indoors and in a sheltered outdoor spot.

What sizes are available?+

We offer Fraser Fir and White Pine in four sizes: 3–4ft, 4–5ft, 5–6ft, and 6–7ft. Wreaths come in 24 and 30 inch sizes. Swags are available in 24 and 30 inch lengths, and garland in 6ft and 9ft lengths.

When does shipping begin?+

Shipping runs from November 15 through December 15. You can select your preferred harvest and delivery dates during checkout. For guaranteed delivery by Thanksgiving, order by November 1. Orders placed after November 1 will still ship as quickly as we can, though we cannot guarantee arrival before the holiday.

When should I place my order?+

You can place an order as soon as the site is live. Orders placed before the season queue for November shipping. Popular sizes sell out, so ordering early secures your preferred delivery date. You won't be charged until your tree ships.

Where do you ship?+

We ship within the continental United States via FedEx Ground. Delivery typically takes 3–8 days depending on your location.

Can I customize my order?+

You can choose your tree variety, size, and preferred delivery date during checkout. If you have specific requests (like a fuller shape or a particular height), add a note to your order and the farmer who grew your tree will personally hand-select the best match from the field.

What if my order arrives damaged?+

We grow and handcraft every item with care, but because our greenery is fresh and natural, minor compression and settling during shipping is normal. If your order arrives with a genuine issue, email us at peachbottomtrees@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the product, shipping box, and shipping label. Our products are perishable and can't be returned, but we'll gladly replace anything that doesn't meet our standard.

Do you sell wreaths and greenery?+

We handcraft wreaths, swags, and garland from fresh Fraser Fir, White Pine, and mixed greenery grown on our farm. You can add red berries, pine cones, and choose from hand-tied bow styles. They arrive just as fresh as our trees and make great gifts.
